About The Position

The Department of Teacher Education is seeking a Part-time Academic Instructor for EDUC 469, Woodworking. This course is an introduction to strategies and methods for teaching Wood Production Lab at the junior high level, with a practical, hands-on emphasis mirroring public-school technology programs. The course will focus on outcomes outlined in the Nova Scotia Technology Curriculum document, examining activities suitable for grades seven to nine. Students will participate in interactive classes and labs to practice skills necessary for facilitating learning in Wood Production Labs in Nova Scotia schools.

Requirements

  • PhD or MEd with significant experience in the course area (Woodworking).
  • Ability to teach in person (on-campus).
