About The Position

For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. The Grays Woods center is located next to GW Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. Currently, we have around 20 full-time and four part-time staff members, most of whom have been with ABC for at least five years or more. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment in a variety of our classrooms. Being part-time, you would get to work in several different classrooms with different ages. This position has flexible hours.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verbally
• Have, or be willing to get, required clearances
• Have, or be willing to get, a physical with TB test

• Working along side of a lead teacher
