About The Position

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Floater Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours. This position is ideal for someone looking for a short, consistent weekday schedule, including students or anyone with morning commitments. You'll support different classrooms throughout the center and help create a positive end to the day for children and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or experience working with children preferred
• Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups
• Reliable and consistently available from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM
• Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented
• Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide afternoon support across early childhood classrooms
• Assist teachers with activities, transitions, and pick-up routines
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities
• Assist with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines
• Provide classroom coverage as needed to maintain required ratios
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
