School of Business and Computer Science (General Pool)
About The Position
Curry College is seeking part-time faculty to teach in its School of Business and Computer Science. The school offers a variety of undergraduate majors, minors, and concentrations, as well as graduate programs including a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting. The majority of courses are delivered in-person at the Milton or Plymouth campuses. Part-time faculty are responsible for course planning, instruction, grading, timely submission of grades and alerts, explaining grades to students, and utilizing Canvas as the learning management system. Faculty are also expected to interact with students electronically outside of class and hold office hours.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is required for classroom teaching.
- Significant and relevant professional experience in a relevant discipline may be substituted for candidates who have earned degrees from disciplines not related to those offered by Curry College's School of Business and Computer Science.

Nice To Haves
- A terminal degree in a relevant discipline is preferred for those teaching at the graduate level.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Planning and presenting the material assigned for their courses
- Establishing specific requirements and informing students of the requirements
- Grading examinations and projects
- Submitting grades and early alerts in a timely fashion
- Explaining grades to students
- Utilizing Canvas as the learning management system
- Being available to interact electronically with students outside the classroom
- Holding requisite office hours
Benefits
- Eligibility for promotion to Lecturer and an increased rate of compensation are negotiated between the College and the Curry College AAUP.
