Part-Time Faculty - Vocational Nursing (South)
About The Position
This is a part-time faculty position teaching Vocational Nursing related coursework. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings arise; these are not current vacancies. Part-time faculty are hired on an 'as needed' basis for the duration of specific courses and are not entitled to the same rights, privileges, and benefits as regular, full-time employees. Teaching assignments may include evening and possibly weekend classes. Faculty will utilize various delivery methods based on the teaching area and student needs, potentially requiring a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- At least three (3) years direct or related work experience in nursing required exclusive of teaching.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
- Previous teaching in an L.V.N. program.
Responsibilities
- Teaching Vocational Nursing related course work.
- Instructing courses using various delivery methods based on the teaching area and the needs of students and the College.
- Potentially teaching evening and weekend classes.
