About The Position
The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine invites applications to a Part-time Faculty position in the online Accelerated Nursing Program. We are seeking instructors to teach various nursing courses, including Healthcare Informatics & AI Literacy in Nursing, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, Health Policy and Advocacy, Population Health, Community & Global Perspectives, Leadership, Systems Thinking and Care Coordination, and Chronic Illness Care. The role involves delivering content, grading assignments, and managing courses via the Brightspace learning management system.
Requirements
- BSN or BS in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current active Maine RN license or relevant nursing compact license
- Able to meet employment criteria, including background check, immunizations, BLS/CPR certification, and current TB for clinical teaching
- Expertise in the course subject matter
Responsibilities
- Delivering content to meet pre-determined course objectives
- Grading and evaluating assignments
- Managing the course via our learning management system, Brightspace
