About The Position
The Part-time Faculty in Psychology position involves preparing and delivering course materials, conducting classes, and utilizing the University Learning Management System (LMS). The role requires evaluating student work, maintaining availability for student assistance, and responding promptly to communications. Faculty will also meet with supervisors and colleagues for collaboration and training, participate in student learning assessments, and respond to the needs of a diverse student population.
Requirements
- A commitment to outstanding teaching and delivering an excellent student experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- A master's or Ph.D. degree in psychology or a closely related field, from an accredited university is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare course materials and pedagogy to achieve course learning goals and objectives.
- Employ appropriate pedagogy for the assigned courses.
- Conduct classes and deliver course material on assigned days and times.
- Utilize University Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver course information to students.
- Evaluate and grade student work in a timely manner.
- Maintain availability to students during posted hours to assist students.
- Respond in a timely manner to departmental and student communications.
- Meet periodically with supervisors and colleagues for collaboration, training, and development.
- Participate in departmental efforts to assess student learning.
- Respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.
