About The Position

The School of Nursing at the University of Southern Maine invites applications to a Part-time Faculty position in the graduate nursing program to teach Advanced Psychopharmacology (NUR 680) to our cohort of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNP) in the Fall of 2026, beginning August 31, 2026. This three-credit course is listed for Wednesdays from 12-3pm in a hybrid format. There will be at least one face-to-face meeting required with students at this time either in person or virtually.

Requirements

  • Board certified PMHNP or Psychiatrist with prescriptive authority, PharmD, PhD in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering content to meet pre-determined course objectives
  • Grading and evaluating assignments
  • Managing the course via our learning management system, Brightspace
