Part-time Faculty, Finance
About The Position
National University, a veteran-founded, nonprofit institution in San Diego, California, established in 1971, is seeking part-time faculty in Finance for its College of Business, Engineering & Technology. The university is dedicated to providing accessible higher education to adult learners and serves a diverse student body with over 200 accredited graduate and undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to serving adult learners, and will collaborate with the Academic Program Director and other faculty to ensure program quality, student engagement, and success.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the field of Business or related field from a regionally accredited university required.
- 1 year of higher education teaching experience preferred.
- A cover letter.
- A curriculum vita.
- Statement of teaching experience online and/or onsite for a diverse student body.
Responsibilities
- Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
- Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
- Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.).
- Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
- Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
- Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
