About The Position

Portland Community College is accepting applications for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in Family and Human Services at the Sylvania Campus. This pool is for potential future course assignments, including substitute and full-term classes, as the need arises during the academic year. The department will review applications from this pool to identify suitable candidates for part-time faculty roles. Requirements

  • Masters degree in the Subject Area (Human Services, Social Work, Social Services, Counseling, Human Development, Family Services, Developmental Psychology, Public Administration, Marriage and Family Therapy, Adult Education, Adult Learning, Sociology, Family Studies, Psychology, Child Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Family Life) OR
  • Masters degree in any field AND Three (3) years experience in the field of human services OR
  • Bachelors degree in the Subject Area (Human Services, Social Work, Social Services, Counseling, Human Development, Family Services, Developmental Psychology, Public Administration, Marriage and Family Therapy, Adult Education, Adult Learning, Sociology, Family Studies, Psychology, Child Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Family Life) AND Three (3) years experience in the field of human services.
  • Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
  • Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
  • Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
  • For foreign credentials, transcripts must be evaluated by an agency in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in Family and Human Services.
  • Potentially teach substitute assignments or full-term class assignments.
  • Identify current PCC courses that you would be able to teach.
