Part-Time Faculty - English Department (Day Programs)
About The Position
This posting is for potential part-time, non-benefited, day program faculty positions in the English Department. Applications submitted here will be reviewed as openings occur. The current salary rate for a typical lecture course (4 contact hours) taught by a new part-time faculty member in the day program is $7,231.12, paid through bi-weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies. Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Evidence of expertise, scholarly activity, or creative work appropriate to the discipline.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging in the curriculum and the classroom.
Nice To Haves
- PhD, MFA, or other terminal degree in related field.
- Successful college teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach course(s) in Writing, Literature, Film Studies, or Journalism.
- Develop syllabi and instructional materials
- Assess student performance
- Provide assistance and mentorship to students
