About The Position

Montgomery College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time faculty member to teach Introduction to 2D Design at its Rockville Campus. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to students, and the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed periodically based on student enrollment needs. Part-time faculty are limited in the number of equivalent semester hours they can teach per semester and academic year.

Requirements

MFA or equivalent degree in Visual Art.
Experience teaching college level visual arts courses (Graduate school teaching assistantship or lectureship is acceptable).
Currently active in personal creative work.
Demonstrated commitment to promoting belonging, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment.
Willingness to contribute to the Colleges strategic plan of inclusion.
Access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location.
Eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor.
