About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part-Time Evening Receptionist to join their team. This role is responsible for answering incoming calls, providing information about store hours, services, and promotions, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and possess a team-first mentality. Requirements

  • Evening availability is required (to include two weekends per month)
  • Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
  • Multitasking, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls in a prompt, friendly, professional, and pleasant disposition
  • Provide accurate information about store hours, services, and promotions
  • Be knowledgeable about basic customer inquiries, be courteous while assisting customers, and transfer calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance
  • Take and relay messages clearly and efficiently
  • Assist in general office duties that may include mail service, sorting and opening mail to deliver to the appropriate individual/department, updating phone lists, and assisting other office positions as needed
  • Assist in other departments with other duties as assigned such as freight processing, and hang and fold
  • Assist in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Demonstrate multitasking, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
