About The Position
Foundation Academies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to support the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our school campuses. This role plays a key part in maintaining a welcoming and well-maintained environment for scholars, staff, families, and visitors. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and takes pride in creating clean, organized spaces that support a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial, janitorial, facilities, or maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a school setting
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift, including regularly lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing routine floor care
- Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and replenishing supplies
- Maintaining restroom cleanliness and stocking paper products and soap
- Safely operating custodial equipment and using cleaning chemicals in accordance with established procedures
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety, or facility concerns
- Assisting with room setups and breakdowns for school events and activities
- Responding to custodial requests and supporting campus operations as needed
- Participating in seasonal deep-cleaning projects and special assignments
- Following all safety protocols and contributing to a positive, professional school environment
