About The Position
This is a part-time custodian position within the Title V Senior Employment Training Program, providing services at Bay Aging properties in Heathsville and assisting with Meals on Wheels. Candidates must be 55 years of age and older to participate. The role offers a pay rate of $12.77/hr and is a great opportunity to engage in this key program.
Requirements
- Must be 55 years of age and older
- High School diploma or GED.
- Willingness to learn and practice Active Lifestyle Center and Bay Aging policies and procedures and regulations.
- Attend training sessions as needed.
Responsibilities
- Follow the scheduled activities
- Monitor participants for their safety at all times.
- Keep clients active and engaged as they participate in crafts, fitness, and projects as directed by ALC staff.
- Assist with Active Lifestyle Center operations
- Perform site setup and clean up duties (cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors, mopping, window care, putting up stock, etc.).
- Assist in preparing meals and snacks, set table, serve clients, dishwashing, and clean up after meals.
- Maintain supplies in neat, organized manner.
- Assist Meals on Wheels.
- Complete paperwork as instructed.
- Perform task as assigned and work under close supervision throughout the day.
