About The Position
A family in Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 is seeking an experienced, attentive, and compassionate caregiver to provide companionship and mobility support for their loved one. The position is part-time, with a schedule of Mondays and Saturdays, approximately 10 hours per week. The role involves assisting with mobility, transfers, toileting, and meal supervision. The position will resume May through October each year, as the family spends their winter months in Florida. The home is smoke-free and pet-free, and equipped with medical grab bars.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience required
- Experience assisting with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention required
- Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with toileting
- Patient, attentive, and dependable
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in conversation
- Assist with mobility using a walker and gait belt
- Support light exercises as directed by outpatient physical therapy
- Assist with toileting and transfers
- Supervise meals and provide dining support
- Maintain a calm, attentive, and engaging environment
