About The Position

A University of Wyoming Bus Driver follows a planned bus route, making scheduled stops to pick up or drop off passengers. They will answer questions about the bus routes and communicate with dispatch via two-way radio during route. This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience Required.
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.
• Must be able to pass all drug and/or alcohol screening(s) required by the UW Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• Ability to work as a team member in a professional team environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols as directed.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safely operate UW Transit buses as directed, on various routes and assignments.
• Perform inspections of the equipment as outlined in the department procedures and demonstrated throughout the onboarding process.
• Maintain relevant paperwork and documentation as required.
• Positively contribute to the team centered work environment.
• Follow all University and Transportation Services Policies and Procedures.
