About The Position

Primary responsibilities include preparing and serving all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the bar service area. Exercises proper cost controls, setup bar area, inventory control, perform assigned pre and post closing of cash register, other general bartending assignments.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates an attitude of friendly hospitality and guest satisfaction in every aspect of guest service.
  • Is in proper uniform and ready to begin work at scheduled starting time.
  • Has full working knowledge of cocktails, terms and recipes.
  • Has complete knowledge of all in stock beers and wines.
  • Obtains, verifies, and assumes total accountability for bar bank and moneys in cash register.
  • Understands and complies with company policies pertaining to bar, cash handling, and security procedures.
  • Understands and is able to proficiently operate Cash Register.
  • Understands legal ramifications of serving liquor to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Complies fully with company and state regulations pertaining to liquor service.
  • Verifies age and identification of guests as appropriate.
  • Is responsible for knowledge of personal work schedule.
  • Attends and reports on time for all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Position requires bartending experience.
  • State approved liquor control certification (B.A.S.S.E.T or T.I.P.S)

Responsibilities

  • Performs proper setup to insure a neat, clean guest ready bar.
  • Keep bar stocked with liquor, beer, soft drinks, and supplied to meet anticipated needs.
  • Restock at end of shirt or as needed.
  • Setup cash register and verify that bar bank is at established amount at beginning of shift.
  • Keep bar and service area clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Performs posted closing sidework to insure a clean and secure bar.
  • Performs assigned cash register closing duties at the end of each shift.
  • Prepares drinks per established recipes.
  • All orders are promptly and correctly entered into Cash Register.
  • Is responsible for monitoring liquor, beer and wine inventories and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Understands legal ramifications of serving liquor to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Complies fully with company and state regulations pertaining to liquor service.
  • Verifies age and identification of guests as appropriate.
  • Responsible for organizing and stocking all bottled beer, liquor and wine in store room.
  • Is responsible for knowledge of personal work schedule.
  • Attends and reports on time for all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Any other duties as assigned
