About The Position

Part-Time Aides assist with supervising students during non-instructional activities before, during, and/or after the school day. They may work for the school for no longer than 3.75 hours each day. The role cannot take on the duties of other clearly defined school-based positions, including teacher’s assistants, instructional assistants, special education classroom assistants, children’s welfare attendants, security guards or aides, or clerks.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work with and for school children.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to learn and follow school and district policies, procedures, and expectations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience supervising children in an organized setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student supervision during lunch and/or recess periods.
• Assist with student supervision during study halls held only during non-instructional minutes.
• Assist with student supervision during in-school suspensions.
• Assist with student supervision during student entry and exit.
• Assist with student supervision in and around the school building.
