About The Position
A warm and active family in Montclair, NJ 07043 is seeking a reliable, engaging part-time babysitter to care for their 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter after school. The position is based in a smoke-free home with no pets. The family values creative, active play and educational engagement centered around games, sports, reading, and arts & crafts.
Requirements
- Prior experience in after-school childcare or babysitting school-aged children
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for transportation
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Provide safe transportation from school, playdates, and extracurricular activities
- Assist children with homework and lead educational activities, arts & crafts, and sports
- Arrange playdates and outings
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious snacks and meals for the children
- Handle light housekeeping and children’s laundry related to daily routines
