About The Position

The Evergreen State College seeks a half-time faculty member to teach a year-long sequence of courses in general chemistry with lab in academic year 2026/27. Experience with student-centered pedagogy is highly desirable. Prior experience teaching STEM fields to diverse and underserved students, including returning adults, is also desirable. The lab sections of the courses will be taught in person; lectures may be in-person or remote. The courses will be located within Evergreen’s Professional and Continuing Education program and will be scheduled to be taught in the evenings or on weekends.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemistry or related field
• College-level teaching experience in chemistry including lab
