About The Position

Performs skilled administrative work supporting the business and operational functions of the Parks and Public Facilities Department, including financial analysis, contracts, agreements, grants, and other departmental activities, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Parks and Public Facilities Director (supervisor). Join our Parks and Public Facilities team and support the department's business operations, by analyzing budgets and financial data, managing contracts and agreements, and supporting the grants that fund projects across our community. Reporting to the Department Director, this position works independently on the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our parks and facilities serving the community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with coursework in public administration, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Three (3) years experience in business or operational analysis, budget or financial analysis, contract administration, project administration.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in local government or a public agency, particularly in parks, recreation, facilities, or public works.
  • Experience with public procurement processes, including preparing bid documents, RFPs/RFQs, and managing vendor contracts in compliance with state and local purchasing rules.
  • Familiarity with governmental budgeting and fund accounting.
  • Experience tracking contract and grant deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements across multiple projects.
