About The Position

The City of Pearsall is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Parks Maintenance Worker. Parks maintenance workers maintain the appearance, health, and safety of landscapes and features in public parks, including jogging and biking paths, athletic fields, playgrounds, picnic tables, benches, lawns, flower beds, and gardens. The position is listed at an entry-level hourly rate of $14.85. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though hours and days may vary.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
• Possess, or have the ability to obtain, applicator pesticide and herbicide control licensing.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment DPS background check, drug test, physical, and lumbar X-ray.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in grounds maintenance, a nursery, greenhouse, or another landscape-related organization is preferred.
