About The Position

SANTAQUIN CITY is accepting applications for a Full-time Parks & Grounds Maintenance I or II. This position performs a variety of entry level to working level skilled field maintenance duties associated with maintenance of parks, parks strips, detention basins, cemetery, trails, various fields and facilities used for sponsored recreational programs and other landscaped areas throughout the City.

Requirements

Graduation from high school; sufficient experience to demonstrate an aptitude to perform the above-related duties (for I).
Graduation from high school; two (2) years of experience in landscaping maintenance or related duties (for II).
Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License (for I).
Required to obtain a Utah Commercial Driver's License, class B (CDL) within 1 year of hire date (for I).
Must possess a valid Utah Commercial Driver's License, class B (CDL) (for II).
Must possess a Utah State Pesticide Applicators License (for II).
Must live within 30 minutes travel time from Santaquin.
Must be available and willing to work weekends, holiday, on-call, standby and emergency call.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and criminal history check following a conditional offer of employment.
Employees required to drive a motor vehicle as an essential job duty will be required to successfully complete a motor vehicle record (MVR) check following a conditional offer of employment.
