About The Position
The City of Monticello is seeking applicants to fill an opening on the Parks, Arts & Recreation Commission (PARC). The Commission normally meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 8 a.m. with an occasional special meeting. Meetings typically last 1-1/2 hours.
Requirements
- Must be a resident of Monticello or Monticello Township.
Responsibilities
- Develops, and reviews plans for the acquisition and development of parks and recreational facilities
- Develops recreation programs
- Reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions
- Makes recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council
- Monitors parks and serves as a liaison between the community and the City Council on park issues
