About The Position

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board serves to make recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Director, the City Manager, the Mayor and the City Council concerning the direction, supervision, and promotion of such recreation programs as will contribute to the general welfare of the residents of the City of Auburn. The board consists of seven (7) members, appointed by the City Council. Employees of the City of Auburn are not eligible for appointment. Members must be qualified electors. The board serves 4-year terms and meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 11:45 AM at the Harris Center. The board meets monthly with the Parks and Recreation Director.

Requirements

  • Must be a qualified elector.
  • Employees of the City of Auburn shall not be eligible for appointment to the board.
