About The Position

Coaches, organizes, and supervises a certain sport; does related work as required. Sports: Basketball, Cross Country, Flag Football, Soccer, Track, Volleyball

Requirements

• Personal skills that reflect positive relations with middle school students, parents, and the community
• Knowledge of the principles of individual and team fundamentals of the listed sports
• Ability to develop a solid discipline that emphasizes teamwork and good sportsmanship
• Required knowledge, skills, and abilities to organize, promote, lead, supervise and teach recreational sports to middle school students
• Ability to secure cooperation and communication with students and adults
• Dependability, initiative, and resourcefulness

Responsibilities

• Organizes and prepares practice schedules
• Teaches sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, personal responsibility, and competitiveness to all students
• Gives instruction on the particular sport that is being offered, including teaching skills, running drills, scrimmages, and games
• Supervises a certain sport
