About The Position

Sampson County Parks and Recreation seeks a reliable, self-motivated employee to join our maintenance team. This position works closely with the maintenance manager to maintain local parks, athletic fields and equipment. Essential functions include: planning, inspecting, landscaping, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical, plumbing, grounds improvement projects, pest control and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Selected candidate will operate trucks, tractors, mowers, field machines and other mechanical equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• NC driver's license
• relative experience in maintenance
• relative experience in landscaping
• relative experience in construction trade
