About The Position

PSX is hiring a Parking Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain parking equipment throughout the New Orleans market. This role is focused on parking equipment, pay stations, ticket dispensers, parking kiosks, gate arms, entry and exit lane equipment, validation systems, revenue control equipment, and related electromechanical systems. We are looking for a hands-on technician who is mechanically inclined, comfortable troubleshooting equipment in the field, and able to communicate professionally with customers at parking facilities, garages, lots, commercial properties, municipalities, hospitals, universities, casinos, airports, hotels, and similar environments. This may be a strong fit for someone with experience in parking equipment, gate arms, ticketing equipment, vending machines, kiosks, ATMs, casino gaming machines, appliance repair, commercial equipment repair, or other field service work.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the New Orleans region.
  • Hands-on mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and work outdoors or in parking garage environments.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Dependability, safety awareness, and attention to detail.

  • Field service work in customer-facing environments.
  • Prior parking equipment experience is preferred, but related field service or electromechanical repair experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair parking equipment in the field.
  • Work on ticket dispensers, pay stations, parking kiosks, gate arms, entry and exit lane equipment, card and ticket readers, printers, scanners, sensors, loops, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment issues involving motors, arms, belts, rollers, boards, wiring, power supplies, sensors, switches, ticket jams, printer issues, communication errors, and mechanical failures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on parking equipment and entry and exit systems.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic tools to complete service calls.
  • Replace worn or failed parts and document completed repairs.
  • Respond to customer service requests across the New Orleans region.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, garage operators, and internal team members.
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and follow-up notes.
  • Work safely in outdoor, garage, and active traffic environments.
