Parking Lot Sweeper Driver
About The Position
Lancaster Asphalt Systems, Inc. is a family-owned and operated asphalt maintenance company serving Central Pennsylvania since 1974. This role involves sweeping parking lots at assigned commercial locations during overnight hours, hand-picking trash, emptying trash cans, and performing pre-trip inspections of the truck. The driver will report maintenance issues, follow assigned routes, and report site conditions to the manager. Travel to job sites may be required, with the longest routes typically 1 to 1.5 hours away.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid non-CDL driver's license
- Have a clean driving record for the past 5 years
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted
- Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly during a shift
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform the required work
Responsibilities
- Sweep parking lots at assigned commercial locations during overnight hours.
- Hand-pick trash and empty trash cans as needed at job sites.
- Complete pre-trip inspections of the truck before each shift.
- Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly to the mechanic or supervisor.
- Follow assigned routes and complete stops as scheduled.
- Report site conditions or issues observed at each parking lot to the manager.
- Travel to job sites as needed, with the longest routes typically 1 to 1.5 hours away.
