About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and customer-service oriented Parking Lot Attendant to manage vehicle flow and ensure a safe, organized parking experience at our Newport, RI locations. This role involves assisting visitors, maintaining lot cleanliness, and supporting smooth operations in a busy and often seasonal environment.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Basic cash handling experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Newport area is a plus
Responsibilities
- Direct and guide vehicles into designated parking spaces efficiently and safely
- Collect parking fees and issue tickets or receipts as required
- Monitor lot capacity and communicate availability to incoming drivers
- Provide friendly assistance, directions, and information to visitors and tourists
- Enforce parking rules and report any safety or security concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of the lot, including trash removal and basic upkeep
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
