About The Position

This is a full-time operations role for a parking garage in Asheville, working the 1st shift (7 AM to 3 PM), Monday to Friday. The position involves maintaining the cleanliness and operational status of the parking garage, including equipment repair, cleaning, and customer service. The role requires the ability to work in various weather conditions and perform manual labor. A valid driver's license, clean background, and reliable transportation are necessary.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Willingness and ability to perform manual labor
• Must be able to perform occasional or continuous heavy manual labor and work all day at laborious and strenuous tasks under adverse weather conditions
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Mechanical capabilities and ability to acquire skill in the use of required tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to understand, follow, transmit, and carry out assigned tasks on the basis of written and oral instructions
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public
• Must be thoroughly safety conscious, taking precautionary measures when performing duties
• Must be dependable
• Must have clean background and motor vehicle record
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have your own reliable transportation to go between the garages in Asheville
• High school or equivalent (Required)
• driver's license (Required)
• We will run a 10 year background check.

Nice To Haves

• Maintenance/janitorial: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash from garage and picking up trash
• Repair and maintain parking equipment
• Operator the garage floor sweeper and pressure washer
• Keep all levels of the parking garage clean and debris free
• Changing light bulbs
• Painting
• Leaf blowing and possibly landscaping
• Provide winter weather support (snow and ice removal)
• Perform emergency duties as required
• Interface with customers and provide excellent customer service in the drive lanes as well as over the intercoms
• Consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly attitude
