About The Position

The City of Riverside is seeking a Part-Time Parking Attendant to join their team. This role involves customer service, managing traffic flow, and ensuring a positive experience for park visitors. The position requires individuals with excellent customer service skills, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and the capacity to work independently.

Requirements

Customer service and courtesy skills are essential.
Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Self-motivated individual with a pleasant personality.
Must enjoy working with people.
Must be a team player.
Must maintain a neat and clean appearance.
No visible tattoos.
Facial hair must be clean or neatly trimmed.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work independently in an unsupervised environment.
Must be able to clear a background check.

Nice To Haves

Cashier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a cashier at the entrance, accepting cash and credit card payments.
Utilize mobile devices for traffic flow management and special event parking.
Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
Gain thorough knowledge of the park facility.
Provide directions to on-site park facilities and parking areas for incoming vehicles.
Report any accidents, observed or suspected park violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Park Ranger and immediate Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
