About The Position

Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is seeking a Seasonal Parking Attendant to create a safe, efficient, and welcoming arrival experience for guests. This guest-facing, outdoor role involves processing parking transactions, directing vehicles, monitoring capacity and traffic flow, and communicating with the operations team. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable handling payments, and alert in a busy environment. This position does not involve driving or moving guest vehicles.

Requirements

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Comfort using a smartphone, tablet, or handheld device to operate a Square POS system.
  • Ability to accurately process payments and follow cash-handling, receipt, and end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and decisive during high-volume arrivals, congestion, guest questions, and challenging weather.
  • Awareness of vehicle and pedestrian movement, with consistent attention to safety.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work actively for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, set up, and move cones, signage, barricades, and other light traffic-control equipment.
  • Comfort working outdoors at night and in changing weather conditions.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and schedules based on event needs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Square or cash-handling experience is helpful but not required.
  • Prior guest service, event operations, parking, traffic flow, retail, hospitality, or payment-processing experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide clear, professional parking directions.
  • Operate a Square POS device to process parking payments accurately and follow assigned cash-handling and payment procedures.
  • Issue receipts or confirm payment status as directed.
  • Direct incoming vehicles to available parking spaces, designated lots, accessible parking, staff parking, overflow areas, and exits.
  • Monitor lot capacity, open spaces, traffic patterns, and vehicle queues; communicate promptly when areas are nearing capacity or full.
  • Help maintain orderly traffic flow at entrances, exits, pedestrian crossings, and assigned parking zones.
  • Monitor accessible parking and emergency access lanes to help ensure they remain available and unobstructed.
  • Use approved cones, signs, high-visibility equipment, radios, hand signals, and traffic-control procedures.
  • Provide guests with basic information about event entry, pickup locations, exits, and parking procedures.
  • Communicate guest concerns, payment issues, safety hazards, traffic congestion, vehicle incidents, or suspicious activity to a supervisor, security, or operations team member immediately.
  • Assist with opening and closing parking areas, including set-up and collection of cones, signage, barricades, POS equipment, and related materials.
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and guest-friendly parking station and work area.
  • Follow all company safety, POS, cash-handling, guest-service, and incident-reporting procedures.
  • Perform other event operations duties as assigned.
