About The Position

The Parking Attendant plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and organized first impression for guests arriving at the resort. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining parking lots, directing traffic, and assisting guests with information and access needs. Starting early each day, the Parking Attendant ensures that base area lots are clean, safe, and accessible—often through snow removal, sanding, and signage setup. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys working outdoors in all weather, and is capable of calmly managing fast-paced and sometimes challenging guest interactions with professionalism and a positive attitude. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work outside in variable and extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations involving guests or traffic control.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance as needed.
  • Strong situational awareness, especially when working around vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and variable shifts is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous guest service or outdoor operations experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and removal of signs, cones, barricades, and traffic control equipment.
  • Direct vehicles safely and efficiently into designated parking areas while maintaining clear traffic flow.
  • Prepare parking areas each morning by removing trash, shoveling snow, and applying sand/salt as needed to reduce slip hazards.
  • Monitor guest safety and traffic movement throughout the day, responding to issues or hazards promptly.
  • Support high-volume operations during peak days, including Ski & Ride School drop-off/pick-up assistance.
  • Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and provide accurate resort information and directions.
  • Serve as a friendly and visible presence throughout the base area; offer wayfinding assistance or escort guests as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Security, Roads, Environmental Services, and Transportation teams during events, storms, or emergencies.
  • Communicate with team members via radio to report hazards, lot capacity, or operational issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.

Benefits

  • The wage range for this positions is: from $21.57 - $23/hr
  • This is a non-benefited role.
  • All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
  • All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
