About The Position

This position involves performing a variety of groundskeeping and maintenance tasks within a park setting. Responsibilities include landscape upkeep, operating park facilities like a sledding hill, staffing community events, and performing janitorial duties. The role also requires assisting with field preparation, opening and closing the park, minor repair work, and maintaining inventory of supplies. Additionally, the Park Worker may provide support to the Senior Center and must adhere to all company policies and procedures. The job involves operating light-duty equipment and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

High School Diploma/ GED or currently obtaining.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
Successfully pass pre-employment drug testing and a background check.
Possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s license.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays and irregular hours.
Provide and wear OSHA approved safety toe shoes or boots.
Wear prescribed uniform, identification and PPE.
Must be over the age of 18.

Responsibilities

Perform grounds upkeep including mowing, landscape maintenance, and dog park maintenance.
Operate the sledding hill and staff community events.
Perform daily cleaning of pavilions.
Ensure fields are groomed and lined for events and practices.
Open and close park as scheduled.
Perform janitorial duties including trash removal, maintaining light fixtures, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining a clean work area and equipment.
Assist in minor repair work.
Keep inventory of supplies and notify supervisor when items are low.
Provide secondary assistance to the Senior Center.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Operate light duty equipment such as trucks, commercial mowers and tractors.
Perform related duties as assigned.
