Park Worker II (Part-Time)
About The Position
The Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking a part-time Park Worker II to join the Pro Shop team at the Kentucky Dam Golf Course, located within Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Gilbertsville, KY. This role is ideal for individuals with a knowledge of golf who can help guests enjoy their rounds. The Kentucky Dam Village features a champion-style par 72 golf course, recently updated with Bermuda grass greens. The successful candidate will work up to 100 hours per month, performing various duties in the Pro Shop and contributing to the smooth operation and guest experience at this State Park.
Requirements
- One year of work experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in cash handling
- Experience in other retail duties
Nice To Haves
- Real knowledge of golf desirable
Responsibilities
- Assisting with multiple duties in the Pro Shop
- Answering the phone
- Assisting guests as they arrive
- Accepting payment for a round of golf
- Assisting with the sale of merchandise
- Monitoring operations at the Pro Shop when the Golf Pro is not available
- Helping assure the smooth operations and interactions with guests
