About The Position

The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails. This position is located at South Toledo Bend State Park in Anacoco, LA. The purpose of this position is to perform groundskeeping and custodial duties to help maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for the customers. This includes all rental facilities and grounds, including trails, bathhouses, etc. This position will also assist in the front office, such as checking in guests, handling forms of payment, assisting customers, and completing office paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and landscaping throughout the park, to include but not limited to, mowing, weed-eating, blowing, trimming branches, clearing and maintaining trails, etc.
• Ensure trash and litter is cleaned up and contained throughout the park.
• Assist with cleanliness of the buildings on site such as cabins, bathhouses, meeting rooms, etc. Duties would include but not limited to, folding linens, cleaning bathrooms, pressure washing exterior, mopping or sweeping, etc.
• Assist with the entrance station duties as needed. This includes checking in guests for reservations or day use, taking payments, assisting with questions, issuing parking tags, etc.
