About The Position

This position supports safe, welcoming, and well maintained park operations by providing visitor guidance, safety support, and administrative assistance. As a Park Resource Ranger, you will perform the following duties: Visitor Support: Provide information, answer questions, and assist the public in person, by phone, and through email Administrative Tasks: Prepare documents, create reports, and use computer programs to support daily park operations Park Patrol: Monitor park grounds by vehicle, watercraft, bicycle, or foot to ensure safety and rule compliance Emergency Response: Assist with first aid, search and rescue, weather events, and traffic control when needed Facility Monitoring: Inspect buildings, trails, and structures to identify hazards and report or address issues Program Assistance: Support educational and recreational programs by helping with scheduling, set up, and presentation

Requirements

  • Possession of an active motor vehicle license
  • Ability to obtain a valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
