About The Position

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking a personable, ambitious, and reliable professional to join the team as a seasonal Park Resource Ranger at Laurel Hill State Park. Requirements

Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Ability to obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.
Satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide information, answer questions, and guide visitors through park rules, safety practices, and available activities.
Inspect park facilities, trails, and beach areas to identify hazards and maintain safe conditions.
Respond to incidents, administer first aid or CPR, and contact emergency personnel when necessary.
Educate visitors on proper use of park areas and help maintain signs, boundaries, and environmental features.
Assist with guided hikes, environmental education programs, and organized group activities.
Perform basic upkeep such as cleaning work areas, checking equipment, and reporting building or grounds issues.
