About The Position

This position supports safe and enjoyable use of state park facilities, as well as helps visitors understand and follow park rules. It involves public interaction, safety tasks, and practical field duties that keep park areas well maintained and secure. As a Park Resource Ranger, you will perform the following duties: Public Safety Patrol: Patrol park grounds and facilities to check for hazards and visitor compliance Visitor Assistance: Provide information to visitors and help answer questions about park history, schedules, features, and rules Emergency Response: Give first aid and assist with search, rescue, and fire suppression situations Facility Inspection: Inspect buildings and structures to identify safety issues and report or address hazards Presentation Support: Prepare and deliver informational talks to school groups and community organizations

Requirements

Possession of an active motor vehicle license
Obtain valid certification in standard first aid and adult, child, and infant CPR approved by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or equivalent within 60 days of employment
Meet the PA residency requirement
Be able to perform essential job functions
Pass a background investigation
Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
