About The Position

The Park Ranger helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout SKYLAKE Adventures by patrolling the grounds, attractions, and back-of-house areas. The role monitors entrances, exits, and restricted areas; responds to incidents and emergencies; supports guest assistance and crowd management; and enforces park rules with professionalism, empathy, and respect. The position also includes conducting bag inspections, completing incident reports, and maintaining security logs. This role requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent patrols, and work in varying weather and environmental conditions. A flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Employment may be contingent upon background checks and verification of work authorization. The position is classified as non-exempt, and employment is at-will. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required certifications; training is provided by SKYLAKE.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
A team-first mindset and a strong commitment to guest safety and satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

Experience in security, law enforcement, guest services, or another safety-focused role.
Waterpark or hospitality experience.
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

Patrol the grounds, attractions, and back-of-house areas to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
Coordinate with and assist local authorities when needed.
Support lost-and-found operations and help safely reunite separated children with their families.
Enforce SKYLAKE rules and policies with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
Assist with crowd management during peak times, special events, emergencies, or evacuations.
Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs.
Conduct bag inspections at park entry points in accordance with SKYLAKE policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
