About The Position

The seasonal Park Maintenance Worker position with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources offers you a chance to make a direct impact on Pennsylvania state parks. The work you will do will help keep natural areas clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors. Become a part of our team and support outdoor recreation and protect valuable natural resources.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
  • Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Maintain park areas by mowing grass, clearing brush, removing downed trees, and performing general outdoor upkeep
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tractors, power tools, and other equipment used for construction and landscaping tasks
  • Clean restrooms, buildings, paved areas, and trash collection sites to support daily park operations
  • Assist with building repairs, new facility construction, and tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and roofing
  • Help manage invasive plants, support habitat improvements, and participate in directed conservation activities
  • Assist park guests by providing information and support in a friendly and helpful manner
