About The Position

The POWER Youth program, previously known as Opportunity NOW, provides career exploration and work experience activities for youth 14 to 24 years old. The name POWER Youth was selected by the peer youth leadership team based on how they view themselves and their future. This role involves performing a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled maintenance tasks. The position is an 8-week program with up to 40 hours per week at $18 per hour, with 5 positions available.

Requirements

  • Valid driver license required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of semi-skilled and/or skilled maintenance.
  • Performs related duties as required.
  • May perform work in repairing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and sand traps.
  • Installs and repairs signs, fences, and related items.
  • Grades and prepares ground for springs and sodding.
  • Plants, transplants, and cultivates flowers, plants, shrubs, and greens.
  • Lays sod and does related work for the reclaiming and establishment of turf areas.
  • Performs hand syringing, edges, and cleans sand traps.
  • Performs other related duties.
