About The Position
Do you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in places your community can enjoy? Lane County Public Works is seeking a Park Maintenance 2 to help care for more than 4,000 acres of parks, natural areas and recreational spaces throughout the Willamette Valley. This hands-on position supports the daily maintenance, safety and appearance of Lane County parks. The successful candidate will be dependable, work well as part of a team and share our commitment to protecting public spaces for current and future generations.
Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- One year of experience in the performance of skilled and semi-skilled building trades and/or ground maintenance tasks, preferably in a park environment.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Possession of a valid Oregon Driver’s license at time of appointment.
- The selected candidate for this position is required to pass a seven-year criminal history background check before entering County employment.
