About The Position

The Park Custodian is directly responsible for the cleanliness and safety of WRAL Soccer Park as well as other NCFCY Facilities. This role serves as a front-line ambassador, ensuring a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff. The custodian will maintain constant communication with park management, patrol for safety concerns, and handle general upkeep of the facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Able to adhere to OSHA safety requirements and standards
Frequent contact with local citizens and other employees within the department, requiring tact and judgment
Detail-oriented
Must maintain professionalism in all manners while remaining flexible, yet dependable
Requires a background check upon offer, along with continued annual background checks.

Responsibilities

Serve as a front-line ambassador for members, guests and staff while providing a clean and safe environment.
Remain in constant communication with park management.
Patrol park for safety concerns/issues.
Clean up litter and empty trash/recycle cans.
Open/close parks.
Keeps gardens and trees at NCFC property free from trash.
Clean restrooms, all building and equipment at NCFC property, and rectify problems as needed.
Ensure the restroom facilities are deep cleaned weekly.
Monitors, measures, and reports on operational issues impacting the NCFC facilities operations and provides solutions and/or recommendations for improvement.
Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and repeatedly.
Other duties as assigned by Park Supervisor.
