About The Position

Join us at SeaWorld San Diego as a Park Area Ambassador and play an important part in bringing joy, excitement, and lasting memories to people from around the world. This seasonal role focuses on ensuring an exemplary level of guest service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and engaging with guests. You will model a positive attitude, high energy, and a commitment to quality while working in a team environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Exceptional customer service
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
Outstanding communication abilities
Active listener with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs
Ability to promote and ensure a safe and secure environment
Flexibility to perform varied duties
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold temperatures
Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement.
Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs
Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
All ambassadors must have 5 days of unrestricted availability, to include both weekend days during the peak season.
You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of their interview and will be required to provide proof of work authorization upon hire.

Responsibilities

Interact with others in a positive, professional manner
Maintain general cleanliness, organization, and quality of park facilities, including all park areas, and offices buildings
Perform janitorial services to include trash removal/ disposal, sweeping, mopping, hosing, cobweb removal, storage room cleaning, dumpster cleaning, and hard floor/ carpet cleaning
Perform park prep services to include removal/ disposal, product stocking, special projects, and placement/ removal of umbrellas, tables, trash cans, benches, urns, and dispensers
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, including supplies such as paper products and soap, to ensure a safe and welcoming guest environment
Report any maintenance concerns to leadership in a timely manner
Initiate conversations with guests
Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
