About The Position

As a Parenting Specialist at META HOUSE INC, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to parents and caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges of parenting. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a social services setting
• Experience in providing support and guidance to parents and families
• Proven track record of developing and implementing parenting programs or workshops
• Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
• Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving
• Proficient in using technology for data management and communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver parenting programs and workshops tailored to the needs of diverse families.
• Provide one-on-one consultations with parents to address specific parenting concerns and challenges.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and educators, to create comprehensive support plans for families.
• Conduct assessments to identify the strengths and needs of families and develop individualized support strategies.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in parenting and child development.
• Facilitate support groups for parents to share experiences and strategies in a safe and supportive environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
• Advocate for the needs of families within the community and work to connect them with additional resources and services.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of parenting support.
