Parent Coach (Full-Time)
About The Position
New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS), a large community service board in Virginia, is seeking a Parent Coach to join their team. This role supports families and children by delivering case management, coordination, skill-building, and education to caregivers/guardians involved with the Department of Social Services and other community systems. The Parent Coach will collaborate with other NRVCS programs to provide wrap-around care. NRVCS offers regular training opportunities and supervision to its staff. The minimum salary is $16.26/hour, with potential for adjustment based on education and experience. Additional compensation is available for employees who are multilingual.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human services, or a related field is preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness or substance use disorders is preferred.
- Experience working with adults, children, and families is preferred.
- Speak multiple languages.
Responsibilities
- Deliver case management and coordination to caregivers/guardians.
- Provide skill-building and education to caregivers/guardians.
- Work closely with other NRVCS programs to deliver wrap-around care.
