Provide peer support to parents served by the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) Advocacy program and assist them to successfully engage in program services, with youth and staff. This role utilizes personal and professional life experience to provide peer support, accesses community-based resources, interfaces with various agencies, and assists families in developing comprehensive plans. The advocate provides family-centered, community, and strength-based support and advocacy, including 24-hour availability for crisis intervention on an as-needed or regularly scheduled basis, which may include weekends and evenings. Responsibilities also include conducting home visits, facilitating a monthly parenting support group, providing parenting education, and ensuring compliance with child abuse reporting laws and agency guidelines.
